Emirates SkyCargo Launches New E-Commerce Delivery Platform

October 21, 2019 - /PressAdvantage/ - Sunsella, a business based in Las Vegas, Nevada, has announced that Emirates SkyCargo has recently launched its new e-commerce delivery platform in the UAE. This will enable customers who are shopping from multiple online retailers in the United States to consolidate their purchases and have Emirates SkyCargo deliver the goods to their office or home address.

The platform, which is known as the Emirates Delivers service is available for both individual and small business customers in the UAE. It is an open e-commerce fulfillment platform, which means that it can also be utilized by other e-commerce businesses and logistics companies. Upon registration, members are provided with a free Emirates Delivers mailing address in the US where they can have their purchases from US online retailers delivered and stored without any charge, for up to 30 days.

At any time, customers would be allowed to make a shipping request within the 30 days and have their purchases consolidated into a single parcel and have this delivered to their designated UAE address. The packages will be transported on Emirates SkyCargo flights from the US to Dubai and will then be delivered to the customer within three to five days after the creation of the shipping request.

Customers would be able to save money because of the less expensive shipping costs, both when shipping within the United States from the online retailer to their Emirates Delivers mailing address and when transporting the goods from the United States to Dubai.

The launch of the Emirates Delivers service is in line with Emirates SkyCargo’s strategy of introducing innovative and specialized air transportation products targeted at industry verticals. It is also in line with their efforts to position Dubai as an international e-commerce fulfillment hub for customers who live in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

The launch was also well-timed because the e-commerce industry has grown by over 150 percent during the last five years. Emirates SkyCargo has been working with industry partners for the creation of an ideal delivery platform that can take advantage of the power of Emirates’ air transport fleet, expanding worldwide network, and multiple flight frequencies in combination with the utilization of Dubai’s strategic position to provide optimal value to their end customers.

Meanwhile, Sunsella would be able to benefit from the new Emirates Delivers service as it is an online retailer of quality home and kitchen products. For instance, there is the Leakproof Bento Box Lunch Container. It is 100 percent leakproof, providing assurance to the users that the liquids will not leak out and spill to the other food in the box. This bento box can be used as a work lunch box or a student’s lunch box. Thus, mothers would be able to plan and prepare the lunch of their children for the whole week and keep the bento boxes in fridge. The same could also be done for those who are working.

Another important product from Sunsella for the kitchen is the stainless steel vegetable steamer. This is particularly useful for people who love to steam their vegetables as it is the healthiest way of cooking them. Also available is the BPA-free silicone vegetable steamer. This steamer has strong thick sidewalls and secure locking handles that make it easy to remove it from inside a pan.

And for those who love to go out walking or jogging, an important companion for them is the leakproof stainless steel water bottle. This water bottle also has a removable silicone ring handle with aluminum carabiner. This makes it easy to attach the bottle to a backpack, tote bag, or hand bag. That way, people can always bring it along wherever they go and easily rehydrate themselves. This bottle is double walled to provide adequate insulation so that the contents, whether water or any beverage, will maintain its temperature for a long time. In fact, they guarantee that the contents will remain hot or cold for as long as 24 hours.

Innovative fashion designers lead the way on sustainability

May 31, 2020

LONDON — Innovative fashion designers are turning to such things as horseradish and nettles to make sustainable clothing and accessories to the delight of a growing number of buyers. While more consumers are paying closer attention to how the production of goods impacts the environment, old habits die hard. A buy-and-toss mentality persists despite a boost from celebrities helping to drive the upcycle and vintage movements. Actress Maggie Q, who created an activewear line from recycled fabrics, is among activists who see plenty of room for improvement. She says she feels "sick about fast fashion.'' "You hear people say, 'Well,...

Queen Elizabeth honors Booker Prize winner Margaret Atwood

LONDON — Shortly after winning her second Booker Prize, Margaret Atwood has received a rare honor from Queen Elizabeth II for her services to literature. The Canadian novelist and poet was presented with an Order of the Companions of Honor in a ceremony at Windsor Castle Friday. She said the experience made her "a bit emotional." The Press Association quoted Atwood as saying that "when you see the Queen at her age and her schedule that she puts out, it's an inspiration to everybody, you just keep going." Atwood and British author Bernardine Evaristo split the Booker Prize ten days...

BBC faces backlash after censuring anchor for Trump remarks

May 31, 2020

LONDON — The BBC faced a backlash Friday after finding one of its presenters in breach of its editorial guidelines on impartiality for comments that were critical of U.S. President Donald Trump. Journalists and celebrities were demanding that the BBC overturn its decision and expressed support for BBC Breakfast anchor Naga Munchetty, who was discussing Trump's remark that four female American lawmakers should return to the "broken and crime infested places from which they came." Co-anchor, Dan Walker, asked Munchetty for her opinion on the July 17 program, and she responded: "Every time I have been told, as a woman...

British prime minister's aide divides, but will he conquer?

May 31, 2020

LONDON — To some, he's a strategic genius. Others call him a mayhem-loving anarchist. Everyone seems to have an opinion about Dominic Cummings. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's most powerful aide — dubbed "Boris' brain" by some — is an enigmatic backstage operator who shuns media attention, yet has been played onscreen by "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch. Since taking office two months ago, Johnson has made a series of bold moves: Promising Brexit "do or die," dealing ruthlessly with party rebels and controversially suspending Parliament. Many see Cummings' hand at work in the strategy, which has left Westminster shaken and...

Soccer star says Amazon didn't remove racist reviews of book

May 31, 2020

LONDON — Soccer star Eni Aluko has condemned Amazon for not removing racist reviews of her memoir posted on the online retailer's web site. Of the 31 reviews on Amazon's United Kingdom site, 27 gave "They Don't Teach This" a one-star rating. The book details the discrimination Aluko faced during her England career. Customers have used the platform to call the book "anti-white racist drivel" and "fiction" and accuse the Juventus forward of choosing to "play the race card" and "coming across as a racist herself." Aluko, who is black, and her publishers have asked Amazon to delete the racist...
