The 5th anniversary of "Wonder: A Contemporary Ballet" is set to take place at the Cavod Theatre, located in New Holland, Pennsylvania. The ballet, written, choreographed, and directed by Stephanie Morales, tells the story of two orphan children, Gracie and Nick, on a quest to find the wonder of the holiday season. With the guidance of three Christmas Lights – Twinkle, Flicker, and Pixie – the children embark on an adventure through a toy shoppe, Christmas tree village, and a cathedral in search of the true spirit of Christmas. Along the way, they learn that the wonder of the season is found in love and being loved.
The ballet features talented young dancers from the Lancaster County area, including Kenzie Beaston as Nick and Selah Byers as Gracie. About Us: Cavod Ballet Theatre is a ballet theatre program open to the community designed for ballet students ages 8 – 20 who have a desire to perform in original contemporary and classical ballet pieces while furthering their performance experience and education. The purpose is to educate students in ballet performance etiquette and requirements, further their knowledge of contemporary and classical works, create original works, and to bring an appreciation of ballet to the community.
